Hey there guys I just had some issues with sending mails to gmx, hotmail and other plattforms. Well Contao ist using swiftmailer, wich is using php's mail(), unless you didn't activate the smtp option in the backend. And now, I researched about php's mail() and it's problem with big plattforms and spam-tagging. It's absolutely clear, that a mail won't be delivered, if the receieving mail server cannot verfiy the mail from the sending server. When a user submit's a form and the form should send an email with his email as the sender, doesn't my server feel addressed for his email domain, right? So what can I do, to send spam-free mails? The point is: return path! If my server isn't addressed as the holder f.e. For hotmail.com, the receieving server will check out, if there is a returnPath-email. If so, it will ask my server for responsibility for this domain. If i put there something like (and my server is responsible for myserver.com), there is a valid path between the servers and that email is not a spam email. What did i do: system/libraries/Email.php - Line 483 added the following line: $this->objMessage->setReturnPath('); my question: can you integrate a returnPath option in the contao backend? If activated, this line will be included with an email address, wich the user should put in over the backend. And sorry for my english. I could've write it in german but i wanted to make it unterstandable for everyone in this world;) kind regards matibaski. Credit cards offer some tremendous advantages when compared with cash or even debit cards, especially when they are used smartly. If you can pay your balance off every month before interest rates accrue, then you should definitely use a credit card for most purchases! Here’s why: Credit Cards Offer Reward Points Whether it is up to 5% cash back on specific purchases, airline miles, or rewards points that can be turned in for specific goods or services, credit cards offer more variety than debit cards when it comes to rewards. In turn, this helps you get more value for your income overall, something that cash simply cannot provide. Credit Cards Offer Theft Protection The recent hacking incident at Target, along with other retailers, might seem like credit cards aren’t safe, but the opposite is true. If you have your cash stolen, then your money is gone! If your credit card information is stolen, you have theft protection options that you can immediately implement to limit losses. Worst case scenario: you change your card number and write letters to the credit reporting agencies. Credit Cards Help You Build a Positive Purchase History In order to purchase big ticket items at a good interest rate, you need to have an established credit history that proves you will manage your debt effectively. Debit cards and cash do not help provide your credit score with points, but a well-managed credit card will! Credit Cards Help You Manage Inflation Even though monetary inflation is something we all just seem to adapt to as time moves on, inflation is always occurring. A purchase of something today will cost slightly more tomorrow. Supply and demand can cause dramatic rises in prices as well. By using a credit card to purchase today, but pay later, you can actually save a dramatic amount of money over the course of a year. Credit Cards Give You a Written Purchase Record Let’s say you go to the store to purchase a loaf of bread. The listed price is $2, which you see as a pretty good deal, so you buy it. When you get your statement in the mail from your credit card company, you see that the store actually charged you $5. With your receipt showing you should have paid $2, you can dispute the charge. Credit Cards Can Give You Extended Repayment Terms Do you need new furniture? Maybe some new electronics, like a laptop? With up to 18 months of interest-free purchases on a credit card, you can get the big ticket items you need today without paying anything extra for it while making affordable monthly payments. Credit cards do often carry a surcharge of up to 1.5% for a purchase, but not every vendor passes on this fee to the consumer. When compared to carrying a large amount of cash or even a debit card, it is easy to see what you should be using a credit card for your purchases today. If managed well, using credit cards consistently can secure for you a strong financial future! Jul 11, 2011 I think that *228 is the number?!?! I am getting a new phone tomorrow in the mail. There are special numbers that determine if it’s a retail, oem, or volume license edition. First, we break down that number into two parts. The first five digits determines how the CD will behave, ie is it a retail cd that lets you clean install or upgrade, or an oem cd that only lets you perform a clean install? The last three digits determines what CD key it will accept. You are able to mix and match these values. For example you could make a WinXP cd that acted like a retail cd, yet accepted OEM keys. Now, for the actual values. Remember the first and last values are interchangable, but usually you’d keep them as a pair: Retail = 51882335 Volume License = 51883 270 OEM = 82503 OEM So if you wanted a retail CD that took retail keys, the last line of your setupp.ini file would read: Pid=51882335 And if you wanted a retail CD that took OEM keys, you’d use: Pid=51882OEM Note that this does NOT get rid of WinXP’s activation. Changing the Pid to a Volume License will not bypass activation. You must have a volume license (corporate) key to do so. Then you can surf your way to the machine’s system32configSOFTWARE hive. It will ask you what key to mount; you then give it any name you like, and it will appear under your own HKLM. You then click your way to SoftwareMicrosoftWindows NTCurrentVersion (then you will see ProductID on the right). Don’t forget to highlight the top key of the mounted hive, and go to File; Unload Hive when you’re done! * Finally, you can actually find the ID you need [sometimes] if you check for the presence of either C:i386setupp.ini or%systemroot%i386setupp.ini. First, the OEM license is tied to the device in which it was first assigned. So license wise you're not able to move it to a different device. Additionally you cant just 'change' a license from one type to another. That is not how licensing works. Technically an OEM Windows XP Pro key will not activate with retail XP Pro media - at least that's how it is in Vista, W7, and Windows 8. Just like VL key will not activate a FPP media. So really how this SHOULD be done, is to use your retail disk and key to install on your new hardware - and import all the data from your old PC. They have customer data and needed software that they don't have software installation media for on the dead person's desktop for that they need to be able to access on an ongoing basis for historical data and to reach out to their customers and make them aware of the acquisition, etc. The dead person's attorney won't let them take the physical computer, they're just going to be sticking it in a closet and holding on to it for legal reasons. But we can take an image of it. It seems hard to believe that there's no way to do this on xp? If I have an OEM PC and I format the drive and put retail on it. That is ok If I have an OEM copy and I upgrade it to retail then it is no longer OEM? Can OEM only be upgraded to OEM? That makes no sense to me because If I bought a Windows 7 OEM license and I eventually wanted to upgrade to Windows 8 then I would be using a retail upgrade, correct? I bought it, it shows up on my order and on the packing list that shipped with the machine, but I can't turn it on either. I have a Latitude e4300 that was shipped with 64bit only we had to reformat it to 32 bit because much of our software at work (this is a company machine) would not run on 64 bit. I, as yourself, noticed that there was no Bluetooth device in the device manager. But did believe that I had Bluetooth capability. So, I went to the download/drivers and loaded the Bluetooth application. The Bluetooth application does a few things: 1) Load the Bluetooth application which allows you to turn on/off Bluetooth (your original question.) 2) Allows you to add a device or be discoverable. 3) And now, when Bluetooth is enabled, you will see a Bluetooth device in the device manager. Many Dell business laptop computers come with support for the Bluetooth personal area networking protocol. The driver is ultimately responsible for the safe operation of the vehicle and therefore, must evaluate whether it is safe to follow the suggested directions. Maps used by this system may be inaccurate because of changes in roads, traffic controls or driving conditions. Always use good judgment and common sense when following the suggested routes. Do not rely on any navigation features included in the system to route you to emergency services. Ask local authorities or an emergency services operator for these locations. Not all emergency services such as police, fire stations, hospitals and clinics are likely to be contained in the map database for such navigation features. SYNC Services and the Vehicle Health Report may send text messages to the driver's cell phone. Such text messages are intended to be read in a safe manner, such as when the vehicle is not moving or through the use of SYNC's text message reader feature. Do not read text messages while driving. Key Management Service in Windows 10 Installing a KMS host key on a computer running Windows 10 allows you to activate other computers running Windows 10 against this KMS host and earlier versions of the client operating system, such as Windows 8.1 or Windows 7. Clients locate the KMS server by using resource records in DNS, so some configuration of DNS may be required. This scenario can be beneficial if your organization uses volume activation for clients and MAK-based activation for a smaller number of servers. To enable KMS functionality, a KMS key is installed on a KMS host; then, the host is activated over the Internet or by phone using Microsoft’s activation services. Configure KMS in Windows 10 • Open an elevated command prompt. • Enter one of the following commands. • To install a KMS key, type slmgr.vbs /ipk. • To activate online, type slmgr.vbs /ato. • To activate by using the telephone, type slui.exe 4. • After activating the KMS key, restart the Software Protection Service. Key Management Service in Windows Server 2012 R2 Installing a KMS host key on a computer running Windows Server allows you to activate computers running Windows Server 2012 R2, Windows Sever 2008 R2, Windows Server 2008, Windows 10, Windows 8.1, Windows 7, and Windows Vista. Note You cannot install a client KMS key into the KMS in Windows Server. This scenario is commonly used in larger organizations that do not find the overhead of using a server a burden. Note If you receive error 0xC004F015 when trying to activate Windows 10 Enterprise, see. Configure KMS in Windows Server 2012 R2 • Sign in to a computer running Windows Server 2012 R2 with an account that has local administrative credentials. • Launch Server Manager. • Add the Volume Activation Services role, as shown in Figure 4. Adding the Volume Activation Services role in Server Manager • When the role installation is complete, click the link to launch the Volume Activation Tools (Figure 5). Launching the Volume Activation Tools • Select the Key Management Service (KMS) option, and specify the computer that will act as the KMS host (Figure 6). This can be the same computer on which you installed the role or another computer. For example, it can be a client computer running Windows 10. Configuring the computer as a KMS host • Install your KMS host key by typing it in the text box, and then click Commit (Figure 7). Installing your KMS host key • If asked to confirm replacement of an existing key, click Yes. • After the product key is installed, you must activate it. Click Next (Figure 8). Activating the software The KMS key can be activated online or by phone. See Figure 9. Choosing to activate online Now that the KMS host is configured, it will begin to listen for activation requests. However, it will not activate clients successfully until the activation threshold is met. Verifying the configuration of Key Management Service You can verify KMS volume activation from the KMS host server or from the client computer. KMS volume activation requires a minimum threshold of 25 computers before activation requests will be processed. The verification process described here will increment the activation count each time a client computer contacts the KMS host, but unless the activation threshold is reached, the verification will take the form of an error message rather than a confirmation message. Note If you configured Active Directory-based activation before configuring KMS activation, you must use a client computer that will not first try to activate itself by using Active Directory-based activation. You could use a workgroup computer that is not joined to a domain or a computer running Windows 7 or Windows Server 2008 R2. To verify that KMS volume activation works, complete the following steps: • On the KMS host, open the event log and confirm that DNS publishing is successful. • On a client computer, open a Command Prompt window, type Slmgr.vbs /ato, and then press ENTER. The /ato command causes the operating system to attempt activation by using whichever key has been installed in the operating system. The response should show the license state and detailed Windows version information. • On a client computer or the KMS host, open an elevated Command Prompt window, type Slmgr /dlv, and then press ENTER. The /dlv command displays the detailed licensing information. The response should return an error that states that the KMS activation count is too low. This confirms that KMS is functioning correctly, even though the client has not been activated. For more information about the use and syntax of slmgr.vbs, see. Key Management Service in earlier versions of Windows If you have already established a KMS infrastructure in your organization for an earlier version of Windows, you may want to continue using that infrastructure to activate computers running Windows 10 or Windows Server 2012 R2. Your existing KMS host must be running Windows 7 or later. To upgrade your KMS host, complete the following steps: • Download and install the correct update for your current KMS host operating system. Restart the computer as directed. • Request a new KMS host key from the Volume Licensing Service Center. • Install the new KMS host key on your KMS host. • Activate the new KMS host key by running the slmrg.vbs script. For detailed instructions, see and. See also • Not finding content you need? Windows 10 users, tell us what you want on. |
